How e-fulfilment works in 9 steps

That’s why MoreStorage takes a nine-step approach to your e-fulfilment, from implementation right through to the insights that help you grow.

1. Fulfilment hand-out and customer experience (value added services)

With us, you’re not just a number. We want to truly understand you and your business so that, together, we can deliver the best possible experience for your customers.

Using your customer and process analysis, we’ll draw up an implementation plan to ensure your e-fulfilment delivers the best possible customer experience.

With our value-added logistics (VAL), your brand will be delivered to your customers’ doorsteps in a way that’s tailored to their needs.

2. IT integration between your online shop and our WMS

Our in-house technical experts will integrate your e-commerce platform with our Warehouse Management System (WMS). We establish a direct link with platforms such as Shopify, Lightspeed, Magento, WooCommerce and CCV Shop. And even with your ERP or CRM, if you wish.

This means we receive the correct order information, including all terms and conditions, directly, and you gain 24/7 real-time insight into your e-fulfilment. This includes orders sold via marketplaces such as Bol.com.

3. Customs clearance (optional)

Do you sell internationally or are you planning to do so from the Netherlands? We can assist you with importing and exporting right from your initial idea. For example, with your application for an Article 23 licence and a VAT number.

MoreStorage also has a customs warehouse with an in-house customs agent. We can store, handle and deliver all goods under T1 (not yet cleared) on your behalf. You will pay the import duties, but you can defer your VAT.

4. Receipt of your goods

You register your goods with us via a purchase order (PO). We will then immediately schedule our capacity for you. We carry out an initial inspection and, if everything is in order, we accept the consignment.

We check the items for quantities, size, weight and other requirements such as labelling and packaging. This ensures a smooth and hassle-free process right from the start. You can then begin selling.

5. Storage and stock management

Your goods are safely stored with us. We keep you fully informed of your stock levels, so you never end up selling out of stock. This applies even in the event of damage or loss. As we continuously update your stock levels in real time, you always have a clear overview. And for orders of 10 items or more, we carry out an extra stock count to ensure you don’t sell anything you don’t have in stock. All for the sake of your customers.

6. Order processing: ‘pick & pack’

Your orders are received directly by you and by us. We consolidate all orders, and our WMS calculates the most efficient route based on factors such as location and quantity.

This ensures that your orders are on the sorting belt in no time for a final check and careful packing in accordance with your specifications. Off to your customer!

7. Shipment of your parcels

Couriers collect parcels from MoreStorage several times a day to take them to the sorting centres. They continue to collect your orders right up until the evening to dispatch them the same day, ensuring your customer receives them the very next day. We work with DHL, DPD, UPS, PostNL and our own MoreStorage Transport, amongst others.

You’re not tied to anything; you can choose and switch providers at any time. You’re in control.

8. Returns processing

You can register your returns via our WMS. From refused or faulty items to orders that didn’t meet your expectations. Do you have any specific return requirements, such as return forms or packing instructions? If so, you can specify these too. We’ll process your return and let you know the condition in which it was received. We don’t handle the financial side of your returns for you. But we take care of everything else.

9. Dashboard and reporting

You have real-time insight into your e-fulfilment via our dashboards or via your own dashboarding or business intelligence solution, such as Power BI. We’ll customise these entirely for you. What data is important to you?

We’ll ensure you have it right in front of you at all times. This frees you up to focus on growing your e-business.
